SEE BELOW for the details of the leaked Obama amnesty plan. But first . . .
IF THIS NEWS FILLS YOU WITH OUTRAGE, WE OFFER YOU A FREE WAY TO EXPRESS IT AND TO FEEL A LITTLE RELIEF.
USE OUR TOLL-FREE PHONE NUMBER AND ASK TO SPEAK TO THE OFFICE OF YOUR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS:
Tell the staffers who answer that you have heard about the leaked details of Pres. Obama’s amnesty plans and you are outraged that he would violate federal law like this in order to make it harder for millions of unemployed Americans to get a job or a raise in pay.
IT IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DELIVER THIS MESSAGE TO THE DEMOCRATIC SENATORS & REPRESENTATIVES FROM YOUR STATE. They have to understand how much Obama’s amnesty is killing the Democratic Party with the wage-earner voters.
LATER THIS MORNING, CHRIS CHMIELENSKI WILL SEND YOU ANOTHER ALERT WITH VERY SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS AND A PHONE NUMBER TO PUSH REPUBLICAN OFFICIALS TO BLOCK THE PRESIDENT’S AMNESTY. PLEASE RESPOND.
More than 7,000 NumbersUSA members used our toll-free lines yesterday to phone Congress on its first day back for the lame-duck session. Keep up the good work. We’ll never persuade Congress to kill this amnesty without constant phoning like that every single day.
All last night, the Fox News shows apparently were filled with excited reporting that they had gotten hold of a 10-part Obama amnesty plan from “a source close to the White House.”
Fox indicated Obama would announce the plan as early as late next week and that major congressional Democratic leaders are cheering the boldness and broadness of it.
According to Fox:
The plan contains 10 initiatives than span everything from boosting border security to improving pay for immigration officers.
The plan calls for expanding deferred action for illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children — but also for the parents of U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents.
The plan could allow upwards of 4.5 million illegal immigrant adults with U.S.-born children to stay, according to estimates . . . receive work authorization in the United States, Social Security numbers and government-issued IDs.
Another portion that is sure to cause consternation among anti-“amnesty” lawmakers is a plan to expand deferred action for young people. In June 2012, Obama created such a program for illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children, entered before June 2007 and were under 31 as of June 2012. The change would expand that to cover anyone who entered before they were 16, and change the cut-off from June 2007 to Jan. 1, 2010. This is estimated to make nearly 300,000 illegal immigrants eligible.
The draft plan obtained by Fox shows Obama granting permanent work permits to an extra 500,000 immigrants apparently for tech jobs.
The plan also calls for elimination of the Secure Communities program which had been one of the few successful programs for removing criminal aliens from the country.
IS THIS A TRIAL BALLOON?
It is difficult to assess yet whether Fox has gotten hold of something close to what the President plans to release next week, or if it is just one of several options he is considering, or if the White House is making sure this is leaked in order to measure the reaction.
Whichever might be the case, it is extremely important now that it is being reported that Members of Congress hear from constituents.
Your tens of thousands of faxes in recent weeks and your thousands of phone calls today are certainly one of the reasons why a growing number of Members of Congress are organizing to stop the executive amnesty.
