Whether in leadership positions or not, some instinctively understand when things aren’t as they seem. They also intuit the dangers lying in wait and can cut through the bull crap shoveling their way. This parsing is no easy feat and can become manifestly dangerous, especially since smoke and mirrors now passes for ‘good’ governance. Truth is no longer a valued commodity. A guidepost. As a result, history, coined ‘historicism’, is irrelevant and considered non fact-based. Fungible. Nevertheless – and despite all the naysayers – certain triggers enable many of us to see from point A to point B.
